4/15/2021 The UNI women's soccer team went up against the Illinois State Redbirds for the Missouri Valley Conference tournament quarterfinal matchup. The game was tied 1-1 and went into overtime twice, but the Panthers lost 3-0 causing the spring season to end. The team is tentatively schedule to begin playing the 2021 season next fall.

4/8/2021 The Cedar Falls City Council has extended the mask mandate to May 19. President Mark Nook spoke to the Council via Zoom showing his support and stating that an extension to June would be beneficial for staff and students K-12. The mask mandate will be reviewed on May 17 for Cedar Falls while Waterloo's mandate remains in place indefinitely; photo.

The Rebels came away with a 60-50 victory earning them a spot in the WNIT Championship.
