Brockmeyer is in charge of campus and community outreach and her goal in facilitating this presentation was to provide information about several important black artists, writers, and poets. "As an art history major, I decided that a good idea would be to educate people during Black History Month about black artists in history." Chawne Paige, a UNI graduate, also spoke at the event.
