4/8/2021 The UNI Panther volleyball team took the court in the Missouri Valley Conference against Drake and Loyola-Chicago. UNI beat Drake on Thursday, winning by scores of 25-19, 25-21, and 25-20. On Friday, UNI fell to Loyola-Chicago 3-1 by scores of 17-25, 25-17, 24-26. The Panther's season will end as they did not receive an at-large big for the NCAA tournament.

The decision for compensation by the Untied States Supreme Court will most likely take years but the author believes there will be a positive change soon.

In the first game against the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers, UNI came out on top 3-2. The Ramblers took the second game 3-1 dropping UNI to 7-11 on the year and 7-7 in the Missouri Valley Conference play. 10/5/2020 Cayman Islands Classic, one of the most prestigious pre-season basketball tournaments, has been cancelled for the 2020-21 season due to COVID-19 precautions and the shift of the NCAA season. Pre-season tournaments allow coaches to scout for players for Selection Sunday but due to the cancellation, this selection process will be more difficult for the 2021-22 year.

12/12/2019 A heartbreaking loss would perhaps be the best way, to sum up, the UNI women's basketball team's loss to Creighton University last Sunday in Omaha, Nebraska. The Panther women dropped two straight over Thanksgiving break in Las Vegas. Looking to get back into the win column, they battled down to the wire against Creighton, ultimately falling by the score of 57-54. Kam Finley led the Panthers in scoring 16 points off the bench and went 3-4 from three. Karli Rucker and Megan Maahs both scored eight points each.
