2/17/2020 The Black Student Union (BSU) held their annual skate party in the Wellness and Recreation Center (WRC). Students, faculty, and community members were able to enjoy music and skating in the basketball courts courtesy of the student organization.
5 Outdoor Rec Center hosts ski event

2/13/2020 UNI's Outdoor Recreation Center will be hosting a Valentine's-themed cross country skiing event on February 13 at 5 p.m. Attendees will meet in the WRC 174 and head out to the trails shortly after. Candy will be handed out during the event, and hot chocolate and marshmallows will be served after the event.

7 WRC updates facilities, hours

1/16/2020 The Wellness and Recreation Center (WRC) updated the facilities by including a large fitness room that would allow students to access the WRC and use it throughout the day. Currently, students are not allowed to use specific areas of the WRC due to classes taking place. Christopher Denison, Director of Recreation Services, hoped that this would allow students to use the WRC instead of paying a facility or service not associated with UNI.

10/24/2019 The UNI Dance Program kicked off Family Weekend festivities with its annual fall showcase. The sister dance companies Orchesis and International Dance Theatre (IDT) performed in the Bengtson Auditorium at Russell Hall. The showcase held performances ranging from tap dancing to hip-hop to traditional Russian folk dance. Many of the performances held were choreographed by the students themselves.

10 RRTTC to host wetland clean-up

10/17/2019 The Recycling and Reuse Technology Transfer Center (RRTTC) met in the northern Wellness and Recreation Center (WRC) parking lot to clean up the ponds north of the WRC. This was in an effort to clean up trash from the local wetlands before winter arrives. This event has been going on for 14 years now and is one way for give back to the planet.

8/24/2012 James Chidister is a one man fix-it station for bicycles on campus. Repairs are first class and low cost. This year two Fixit stations will aid Chidister. These stations allow a person to inflate tires and tighten bolts.
