Data from the Iowa Board of Regents reveals that all three of Iowa's public universities are losing tenured and tenure-track faculty. UNI remains committed to professors with 72% of professors tenured or on track to receive tenure, however, the number of students are declining every year.
2 Fall classes return to in-person

President Mark Nook released a statement indicating that the fall semester will return to more in-person classes and operations with increased capacity in classrooms, dining centers, and common spaces. The university will be implementing a 50% capacity guideline which will continue to restrict larger in-person courses, possibly causing an increase in hybrid classes even after the pandemic.
