Six finalists competed for the chance to be a soloist with the Northern Iowa Symphony Orchestra. The competition was extremely close. Abigail Coffer won with her performance of "Concertino for Flute and Orchestra".

23 Variety of musical groups perform at scholarship concert

This was the 30th year of the concert. Music filled the air from drums to harps and a symphony. A champagne and hors d'oeuvres reception followed the concert. Organizers called the concert a success.
