3/9/2020 The UNI women's basketball team defeated Drake University 91-78 in the McLeod Center. They honored Panthers seniors Rose Simon-Ressler, Heidi Hillyard, Abby Gerrits and Kristina Cavey. 2/20/2020 UNI softball team traveled to Arizona for the Hillenbrand Invitational. The panthers stared out the tournaments Friday night going 0-2 with black to back games. Panthers fell 7-6 against the Wildcats. Panthers fell to the sooners 10-2. Northern Iowa gained 6-0 lead in the first inning against Bryant, then taking a 13-5 win. Game with Long Beach State fell 8-7 then rematch with the Oklahoma Sooners ended 8-0. Then going 1 for 3 with a double. The panthers will travel to Conway, Arkansas to compete in the Adam Brown Memorial Shamrock Classic.; photo.

10/31/2019 The UNI women's golf team was invited to the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Kapolei, Hawaii. The Invitational was hosted by the University of Hawaii and played on Kapolei Golf Course. The team carded a total of 300 on day one and rested at seventh place out of fourteen teams. On the second day, the team ended with 287, and the team was tied for fifth place.

Senior setter, Rachel Koop totaled 32 assists in the match against Indiana State, marking 2,500 career assists and ranking her 10th in UNI history.

The tournament was hosted by the Arkansas State University at the RidgePointe Country Club, an 18-hole golf course just two hours north of Little Rock.

9/30/2019 Panthers, Jessica Heims and Onal Mitchell will be representing UNI Track and Field around the world. Jessica Heims, broke her own discus world record with a throw of 34.4 at the 2019 Parapan American games in Lima, Peru. Onal Mitchell will be competing as a member of the national team for his home country of Trinidad and Tobago, running as a member of the 4x400 meter relay team.
