1 Eighteen highest ranking seniors will be honored at Recognition day sevice. The service will be on Wednesday, May 16. All members of honorary organizations will also be presented.
2 Lorinne Crawford will rule as Queen of the May Day festivities The fifth annual Mother's day celebration will also be held the same day.Lorinne Crawford's court will be all women candidates for the B. A. or B. S. degree in the June commencement.
3 The Alpha Chi Epsilon fraternity had their annual spring formal dance Saturday evening. The dance was held at the Sunnyside country club. Each of the other five fraternities was represented by one of its members. Names of special guests.
4 The annual Iowa conference track meet will be held in conjunction with the conference tennis tournament. Both events will take place May 25 and 26. Iowa State Teachers College has won the annual Iowa loop track championship the past six years.
5 The baseball and tennis teams will travel to Northfield, Minnesota for tilts with the Carls. Line-up for the baseball team. Names of men competing in singles and doubles for tennis.
6 The college baseball team will open a two game series with Iowa State college. The first game will be on Thursday, and the second on Saturday.
7 Three organizations have elected officers for the coming school year. The new officers were elected at their meetings last week.
8 Twelve students will be initiated into Kappa Delta Pi on Monday, May 21. Kappa Delta Pi is open to juniors and seniors in the upper ten percent of their class, who have had ten hours of study in education, and who have been active in two outside activities. Names of new members. Theta Alpha Phi also initiated tree new members.
