1	Birkhead opens Teachers College faculty recital series	Jane Birkhead, well-0known soprano member of the music faculty, will give the first of the fall faculty recital series. With Yvone Maxwell at the piano, Birkhead will sing an aria from "The Consul," an opera currently appearing in New York.
2	First TC Band Performance to Feature Specialty Number	Director David Kennedy said the band's specialty number will feature the career of a Teachers College musician from his first sour note to his arrival in the "big time." The 96-piece marching band will perform between halves.
3	Latest teachers College Enrollment is 2675	This fall's enrollment of 2675 students at the College includes 79 percent more men and 25 percent more women than the four prewar fall averages. Last year's fall count totaled 2947 students.
