1	Aussie Government Pays Teacher-Trainees	The Australian government pays the college expenses of her teacher-training students, A. J. Greenhalgh of Teachers' college, Armidale, New South Wales said when interviewed. The only stipulation is that a student must agree to teach one year longer.
2	Louis C. Grimm, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Grimm,,,, is a reporter covering the sports beat for the College Eye	Grimm graduated from Muscatine High school in 1948. At the College he is a junior majoring in social science with a minor in journalism and math.
3	Mother of TC Registrar dies in Illinois	Funeral services for Gertrude M. Beard were held Tuesday (Oct. 31) in Marion, Indiana. She died Saturday evening in Hinsdale, Ill., where for several years she had lived in the home of her daughter, (Theodore Dierks).
4	Name Reporters for College Eye	George Holmes, Jr., covers social life, the science department and the radio station, and William P. Williamson, covers the Dean of Men's office and the foreign language department. Both reporters are from Cedar Falls.
5	Name Reporters for College Eye	Ann Lane covers music events; Jim Young, covers safety education programs and the Student League board, and Shirlee Davis, covers the home economics department. The three are from Waterloo.
6	Over 1000 Hear Gross, Babcock at TC	Congressman H. R. Gross of Waterloo and his Democrat party opponent, James Babcock of New Hampton, in the Nov. 7 elections addressed over 1000 persons Tuesday night in the auditorium.
7	President Maucker to Speak at Des Moines Reunion	The reunion brings together alumni living in the Des Moines area and visiting teachers from all over the state. J. Howard Ames, Ames, president of the Teachers college General Alumni association, will be master of ceremonies at the reunion.
