1 Four students will present a senior recital Thursday, May 10, at 8 p.m. in Gilchrist hall The recitalists are Ronald Donelson, Beverly Irwin, Marlene Meyers, and Addie Mae Pittam. Pittam will open the recital with Delmas' "Promenade" and Weber's "First Concerto."
2 Harold Hartman, Blackhawk county superintendent of schools, is the new president of the Alpha Phi field chapter of Pi Delta Kappa Hartman and four other officers were installed at a dinner meeting Tuesday evening in the Commons at the college. Other officers installed at the meeting include J. H. Peet, Robert Gifford, Herb Silvey, and I. H. Hart.
3 Maurice Gerow, of the music faculty will sing the tenor solos in Haydn's oratorio Gerow will sing the tenor solos from "The Creation," Sunday, May 13, at Knox college, Galesburg, Illinois.
4 The second jazz concert sponsored by Phi Mu Alpha music fraternity will be presented tonight, May 9, at 7:45 p.m. in the auditorium Dean Landfear will be the concert's master of ceremonies. He is the conductor of popular music program for a Cedar Rapids radio station. PMA President El Melichar said tonight's program will include student arrangements of many popular tunes.
