1	Herbert V. Hake, radio program director, will head the college's lecture-concert committee during the coming year	Hake's appointment was announced by J. W. Maucker. The retiring committee chairman, L. L. Sage, asked to be relieved of committee responsibilities because of his professional duties. Three students will also serve on the committee.
2	J. W. Maucker, president, has accepted an invitation to become a member of the Iowa Commission on Teacher Education and Professional Standards	The commission's invitation was extended recently by Secretary J. E. Bicknell, Des Moines. The commission, which includes about 30 Iowa educators, has published a series of booklets on school standards.
