1 About one in six of Iowa's 834 public school superintendents is a graduate of Iowa State Teachers College That was the record for the 1950-1951 school year when 150 of the college's alumni were serving as school or city superintendents in the state. Sixty-eight of the 150 Teachers college superintendents had their master's degree.
2 Iowa State Teachers college has received a bequest from the Fisher foundation, Marshalltown, to help undergraduate students meet college expenses The bequest, in 1951-1952, will provide six students with $158 each. Foundation officials directed that the scholarships be awarded to students who will make outstanding teachers. Chairman of the foundation is J. W. Fisher, executive vice-president.
3 Missouri Valley - the three-day art workshop branch summer school here was concluded Thursday (June 21) with an exhibit of students work The 38 students who completed the workshop course showed examples of work in finger painting, chalk and crayon, paper mache and clay.
