1 An Iowa State Teachers college graduate was one of five persons recently named to track's "Hall of Fame" by the Helm Hall board of Los Angeles, Calif. He is Thomas E. Jones, for 36 years track coach at the University of Wisconsin. Jones was a track star at the college and his 120-yard high hurdle mark stood for several years. He received his master of didactics degree from the college in 1905.
2 Eight summer students will be initiated into Epsilon Pi Tau, national honorary industrial arts fraternity on Saturday August 11 Chief banquet speaker will be Carl E. Frankson, chairman of the industrial arts department of Neward, N. J. and one of the few holders of the fraternity's Laureate Citation.
