1 "Seventy-five Years of Teacher Education" is the theme of the 1951 Homecoming. The first event is "Diamond Dates," a panorama of student life Homecoming "I" Queen Dixie LaVonne Laughery, Charles City, will be presented at the variety show and dance. A full day of varied activities is planned for Saturday, Oct. 27. A hockey game between alumnae and senior girls is planned.
2 "The Enchanted," a comedy by Jean Giraudoux, will be presented by the Department of English and Speech on Nov. 8, 9, 10 Hazel Strayer, professor of speech, will direct the play. It is the biography of a moment in the life of a young girl when she turns from girlhood to womanhood. Richard Arnold and Elaine McDavitt will design the production and costumes. Students listed.
3 Dixie LaVonne Laughery, from Charles City, will reign as "I" Queen during Homecoming festivities President J. W. Maucker will crown Laughery as "I" Queen preceding the football game. The 75th birthday of Teachers College was Sept. 6 of this year.
4 Residents of Cedar Falls, Waterloo, and the northeast Iowa area will have a chance to tour the college campus Sunday, during a two-hour open The event is partthe 30th Homecoming weekend and is the second of five all-college events during the 1951-1952 academic year in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the institution.
