2 Henrik Ibsen's four-act play, "Hedda Gabler," will be presented Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, February 14 - 16 George Tesman, is played by James Rasmussen, Waterloo, Hedda Gabler is played by Gresdna Doty. Curtain time each night for the play, presented by the college English and speech department, is 8:15 in the college auditorium.
3 Henry Van Engen has accepted an appointment as visiting professor at Teachers college, Columbia University, New York for the 1952 summer session. Van Engen will teach courses in the history of arithmetic for elementary and secondary teachers and methods in algebra. Following the session at Columbia, he will participate in a two-day symposium on "Meanings in Mathematics" at Phillips Exeter Academy.
4 Old Gold Beauties were selected on Saturday Three judges chose the four Beauties from a field of ten finalists in the traditional contest sponsored by the college student yearbook Old Gold. The Four are: Mona Van Steenbergen, Jean Stolle, Ruth Troeger, and Dorothy Theesfeld.
5 Seventeen student debaters face a busy weekend in debate tournaments at Eau Claire, Wisconsin and Denver, Colorado The students will be accompanied by Lillian Wagner, of the English and speech department and the college debate coach; Oliver Skalbeck, English and speech department, and Jean Hughes, assistant in charge of public school relations.
6 Special To: Waterloo Courier and Cedar Falls Record Twenty-seven students from Waterloo and twenty-three students from Cedar falls were listed on the fall honor roll, which included a total of 221 students, according to M. J. Nelson, dean of faculty. Students listed.
7 The four-act play "Hedda Gabler," written by Henrik Ibsen, will be presented by the college English and speech department Juliana Tesman, played by Kathryn Reninger, Cedar Falls, confers with Berta, the housekeeper, played by Elizabeth parsons, Perry.
