1 A Mardi Gras, complete with more than 30 booths, king and queen, concessions and confetti, at the stadium indoor track March 1 Festivities are scheduled to begin Thursday, Feb. 28, with a proposed street dance which will feature the crowning of the Mardi Gras king and queen. A torch light parade and entertainment in the college Commons will follow the coronation.
2 Annual High School Press Day, Saturday, March 1 The press day, sponsored by Alpha Phi Gamma, national honorary journalistic fraternity, will feature workshops on student yearbook and newspaper publishing.DeWayne Cuthbertson, Toledo, is general chairman for the event.

Dreier will have papers read during the regional meeting of the National Council on Measurements Used in Education (NCMUE) Denny's paper is "Stanford-Binet Testing and Re-Testing. Dreier's paper is "Results of Instructor's and Dean's Administration to College Students of a Rating Scale of Teaching.
4 John Powell (bass-baritone) Born March 13, 1921, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Graduate of Robert E. Lee high school, Jacksonville, Florida. Received his bachelor of music from Rollins college, Winter Park, FL., in 1946 and master of arts from Teachers college, Columbia University.
5 Maurice Gerow (tenor) Born Oct. 14, 1915, in Jackson, Michigan. Graduate of Jackson high school. Received his bachelor of music degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1938 and a master of music degree from Michigan in 1942. He is married and has three children.
