1 Four students proved to be a veritable powerhouse during the University of Nebraska Intercollegiate Debate and Discussion conference at Lincoln, Neb. The squad which walked off with many honors was composed of Joan Welle, Newton; Bob Davis, Burlington; Don Moskowitz, New York City, and Norman Cohn, Waterloo. Lillian Wagner and John Pruis of the college English and Speech department are co-sponsors.
2 In the January issue of "Education" appears an article co-authored by Dwight Curtis entitled "The Fredonia Workshop in Teacher Education" The article discusses the 1951 workshop of the Association for Student Teaching, held in Fredonia, New York last August. Curtis, director of student teaching and the workshop director, collaborated with Allen Patterson, Lock Haven, Pa., in preparing the a

4 Mrs. Tempie Hansford, instructor in the department of teaching writes a case study about a second grader lacking in social skills The study appears in the February issue of "Vocational Counseling," a case study journal for those concerned with the optimum development of the individual. Manford Sonstegard was consultant in Mrs. Hanford's case.
5 Russell Brown, 1940 college graduate, has taken over important staff responsibilities with the National Safety Council in Chicago Brown's role in the National Safety Council will be in the School Section of the Annual Inventory of Traffic Safety Activities, the Driver Education Section, and the Honor Roll. Brown recently completed the requirements for a master's degree.
