1 Music students got a real treat Thursday afternoon when concert pianist Boris Goldovsky presented two lectures for their benefit Goldovsky, also master of ceremonies for the Metropolitan "Opera News of the Air" broadcast, was in Cedar Falls for his program of "Piano Portraits."
2 Spring quarter enrollment figures at the college stood at 2,027 at the close of registration Wednesday, according to Registrar Marshall R. Beard Of this figure, 775 were men and 1,252 were women. Three hundred seventy-nine persons registered Wednesday, the balance having completed the enrollment process during advanced registration late last month.
3 Thirtieth annual meeting of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics will be held at Hotel Fort Des Moines Henry Van Engen, head of the college mathematics department and chairman of the convention central planning committee, said the occasion marks the first time the annual meeting will have been held west of the Mississippi river.
