1 Special To: Bremer County Independent Don Pothast, Waverly, has been elected secretary of Alpha Chi Epsilon, a local social fraternity, for the spring term. Pothast is a senior student majoring in social science and business education.

4 Students Joan Welle and Don Moskowitz will attend the sixth Student United Nations conference at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, March 28-30 as Welle and Moskowitz were selected by the Student League board, student governing body at the college. Each member will choose a country which he would like to represent and will attend council meetings according to seating of the members.
5 The A Capella Choir will make its annual spring tour Wednesday through Friday, March 26-28 During the three-day tour the 70-voice choir, under the direction of Maurice Gerow, will present programs in eight Iowa communities. Jane Mauck will appear as guest soloist with the group.
