1 Curtis memorial planned The Iowa State Teachers College Foundation accumulates funds for a permanent memorial for the late Professor Dwight Curtis. Curtis was the director of the Price Laboratory School, as well as the department of teaching since 1945.

3 ISTC Band Day postponed Professor Karl Holvik announces the postponement of Band Day activities until the Saturday of October 11. Band performances will be held in addition to Dad's Day activities.

6 Piano recital to be given at ISTC Professor Russell N. Baum performs works of Schumann and Ravel for the faculty recital in the auditorium. Baum will be assisted by Emil Bock and Edvard Grieg. Baum was once a member of the Waterloo Symphony Orchestra.
