1 Japanese expert to speak at SCI Monday Harvard University's Professor Howard Hibbett speaks in the auditorium of Sabin Hall on Japanese literature and poetry. The lecture is part of the summer Program on Asia, directed by Professor Nathan Talbott.
2 Local educator to participate in SCI aerospace workshop Professor Mamie Anderzohn and Major Paul Ingvolstad instruct elementary and high school educators in the third annual Aerospace Workshop. Professor William Dreier directs the workshop.
3 SCI schedules faculty music recital Professors Philip Hahn, William P. Latham, Harald Holst, Myron Russell, Jane Birkhead, and Russell Baum perform in a music faculty recital held in the auditorium. The program includes an ensemble of Walter Coleman, Donald Wendt, Hahn, and Russell.
4 State college receives NSF grant Professor Glenadine Gibb directs the In-Service Institute in Mathematics for Elementary School Teachers. The institute is limited to thirty applicants who must first go through Mrs. Mildred Faye of the Department of Mathematics.
