1 Dr. Howard to attend foreign policy conference Professor Donald Howard of the department of social science attends a foreign policy briefing on Berlin in Washington, D. C. Also attending the conference will be President Kennedy, Dean Rusk, Allen Dulles, and Edward R. Murrow.
2 Four from Cedar Falls to appear in 'Candida' Patricia Maulthauf, Charlotte Lawton, Caryl Middleton, and Terry Crane of Cedar Falls appear in the State College production of George Bernard Shaw's "Candida". The play is to be directed by Stanley G. Wood.
3 Local student to appear in SCI play Carl Albert of Reinbeck takes on the role of Reverend James Morell in the college production of George Bernard Shaw's "Candida", under direction of Stanley G. Wood. The play will be performed for three nights in the auditorium.
4 Local student to appear in SCI play Michael Griffith of Cedar Rapids plays the role of Marchbanks in the George Bernard Shaw play, "Candida". The show is directed by Stanley G. Wood, and will run for three nights in the auditorium.
5 Local teacher to attend driver education workshop The department of education and psychology sponsors a two-week driver education workshop in cooperation with the State Department of Public Instruction. Ivan L. Eland directs the program, with assistance from the National Education Association.
6 Outdoor arts festival to be held this week at SCI The State College of Iowa Arts Festival is held in the south lawn of the Commons, where attendees will enjoy live band concerts, art demonstrations and exhibits, and performances by the summer chorus and dance groups.
7 SCI students partake in European study tour A group of State College of Iowa students embark on the first portion of their European study tour, where they learn the basics of English slang.
8 Student recitals set at SCI The senior student recitals of James Burr, Louann Pilipchuk, and Loran Eckroth are performed at the Gilchrist chapel. The students are to be accompanied by Eleanor Brindle and Lee Morsing.
