16 Holmes named to 'Hall of Fame' George Holmes was honored by the Public Relations Association. Mr. Holmes began work in 1927 and was appointed Director of Publicity Service at Iowa State Teachers College in 1929. He has served in public relations and college relations since that time; photo.
17 Sports record book available The book, "SCI All Sports Record Book, 1898-1966" was completed this fall by Dick Dietl, the Sports Information Director. The book includes all scores of all Panther athletic teams, current record holders, former Little All-Americans, and champions. It also a short history of each sport and a special feature on seven men who helped put the Panthers on the map.

19 Play in Iowa Senior All-Star Game A third SCI all-conference selection was senior defensive linebacker Rick Price. Price was also named the team's most valuable player and played in the second annual Iowa Senior All-Star game at Cedar Rapids. Senior Phil Roberts, Bill Strottman, Dick Olin also played in the game for the college stars coached by SCI's Stan Sheriff and assistant Don Erusha. The college stars won.

27 Mary Edna Fearer The Alumni Office learned of the passing of Dr. Andrew K. Anderson, husband of Mary Edna Fearer Anderson (Class of 1922). Dr. Anderson taught physics and chemistry at SCI during the summers of 1920 and 1921. Recently a cabin was dedicated in his memory at Camp Storer, a YMCA Camp at Stoney Lake, Michigan. Mrs. Anderson resides in Toledo, Ohio.
28 N. Bonita Damman Retired as high school librarian of Waukegan Township High School in June, 1966. She has been head librarian in the high school for the past 25 years. She resides in Waukegan, Illinois.
29 Ralph R. Minkler Retired January 1, 1967 from Borden Company in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Minkler has been chairman of the Board since 1965.
30 Walter E. Schultz Walter E. Schultz (Class of 1922) has retired after 26 years as president of Schultz Laboratories of Boone. Previous to that time he taught in Greene, was supervisor at Allison, and then taught at Colwell and Fernald. He came to Boone in 1929 and operated the Des Moines Valley and Pioneer Hatcheries. Mr. and Mrs. Schultz reside in Boone.
31 Wayne P. Truesdell Assistant professor of education at Luther College, attended a workshop of the state executive secretaries of the State School Superintendent Organizations in Washington, D.C. Dr. Truesdell is executive secretary of the school superintendents organization of the Iowa Association of School Administrators.
