1 Controversial psychologist Julian Jaynes will speak in the Education Center.
2 Independence couple to be honored as UNI Parents of the Year Leo and Therese Donnelly named parents of the year. Six of their nine children will be graduates of the university.
3 Jacob Landau exhibit opens November 17 at UNI Gallery of Art Graphic works, etchings, woodcuts, and lithographs will be on display in the Gallery of Art. The retrospective exhibit is from the works of Jacob Landau. The artist will speak during "Art a la Carte" series.
4 Jazz series continues November 13 in UNI Maucker Union Royal Oak Room to host "4our Letter Word" jazz series; followed by a jam session.
5 Money trouble for colleges, universities Edward Voldseth will address the professional and scientific staff during their "Lunch and Learn" program on how money problems in education are being dealt with in different states and at the national level.
6 Officers elected to help colonize fraternity at UNI Phi Delta Theta fraternity elect first officers. More members are being sought.
7 Panel to discuss education, art, community A panel consisiting of; Joy Buchan, Joseph Guinta, Renata Sack, and Chuck Stilwill will be hosted by Phi Delat Kappa. John Volker will be the moderator.
8 Productivity topic of industrial technology seminar Robert Johnson and Michael White will lead a seminar on "Managing Productivity".
9 Prominent psychologist to speak November 12 at UNI Julian Jaynes will speak in the Education Center. Jaynes is scheduled to speak at Wartburg the evening prior to his address at UNI. It is suggested that one attend both lectures and they will build on each other.
10 Science/Math symposium High school students compete for scholarships to UNI, attend lectures, and view open houses.
11 UNI prof (Cole) elected chari of subcommittee John R. Cole named chair of subcommittee of the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal.
12 Year of the disabled UNI campus made handicap accessible. Playground equipment research aimed at handicapped children. Handicapped faculty member teaches special education.
