1 Cedar Falls mayor to speak at industrial arts observance Doug Sharp and Jim Robinson will speak at a National Industrial Arts Education Week meeting. Industrial Arts instructors and students are invited to visit the Industrial Technology Center and other parts of campus.
2 College Bowl begins fifth season at UNI Tuesday (November 10) Fred Abraham will moderate the College Bowl. Sixteen teams are entered. Two teams compete in the fast paced quiz game; lasting twenty minutes. Trophies and cash prizes have been donated. The winning team will advance to regional competition.
3 Cutline to accompany UNIPA scholarship recipients story Parents Association scholarships presented during Parents' Weekend.
4 Funeral services Saturday (November 7) for Charles F. Allegre, UNI emeritius professor Obiutary of Charles F. Allegre, seventy years of old and emeritus professor of biology.
5 International food fair to be held November 21-22 at UNI International Students Association will provide two nights of international cuisine. A buffet dinner with dishes from Malaysia, Korea, iran, Israel, Japan, and Thailand will be featured; followed by entertainment from those countries.
6 Public service announcement Tickets are on sale for the International Food Fair.
7 Telescopes to be placed near Maucker Union High school students attending the Science-Math Symposium will have the opportunity to use filtered telescopes during their visit to campus.
8 UNI marching band to perform Sunday (November 8) William Shepherd will lead the one hundred sixty member marching band in the annual indoor concert.
9 UNI School of Business begins fund-raising drive Iowa businesses are being invited to luncheons to learn about the newly created Management Development Facility in Seerley Hall. The needed equipment will cost $50,000. The facility is designed to be self supporting.
10 UNIPA awards scholarships to science students at UNI Two students earn science scholarships; awarded during Parents' Weekend.
