1 'Magic Flute' Film Tuesday (Oct. 1) by UNI-Civic Arts Association In Russell hall Hakan Hagegard will perform the 'Magic Flute' along with this, other acts by other people will be preformed.
2 Comedian, Impressionist to Perform at UNI Coffeehouse Oct. 1 Ben Ulin will do a comedian act while Brent Aitchison does impressions of many characters in the Coffeehouse; its free and open to the public.
3 Political Activists Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin in 'Debate of Decade' at UNI Wednesday Hoffman and Rubin were once close friends and political activist together, then Rubin went to college and became a businessman and now they are going to have a debate or yuppies and yippies.
4 UNI Geology Student to Present Program Monday (Sept. 30) on Summer Field Camp Tim Rhinehart will open the Earth Science Seminar Series with a speech about summer field camp experience; all UNI geology majors are required to attend before graduation.
5 UNI Student Teachers Completing Their Service in Iowa Communities. Around 165 students at UNI have gone to a student teacher center for nine weeks where they look at the teacher's learning process, the pupils progress, and extracurricular activies; list of students who student taught.
6 UNI's Saigo Elected a National Director of American Institute of Biological Sciences Dr. Roy H. Saigo was one of the three people that were elected onto the board; he is also on the AIBS Education Committee and has served on the Botanical Society of America and the National Association of Biology Teachers.
