1 'Black Women: Achievements Against the Odds' is art exhibit displayed at UNI's Maucker Union during Black History Month The exhibit will be in the Maucker Union's Main Gallery; the set of twenty posters were produced by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service and they highlight 120 women from 16 subject areas from over the past 200 years.
2 UNI individual events team wins another first place in forensic tournament UNI was the defending champion going in to the tournament which was held at UNI; UNI finished first with 155 points while the 2nd place team had only 89 points.
3 UNI's 'Old Gold' yearbook earns first class rating in national competition The 1985 yearbook received the "First Class" rating from the Associated Collegiate Press; the book received 3,733 points out of a total 4,400; Dean was editor; there is only one higher possible rating.
