1 Academy award-winning film 'Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears' to be shown at UNI March 7 The film won in 1981 for best foreign film; the showing is free and open to the public.
2 Opening reception, awards presentation Sunday (March 2) for annual juried UNI student art exhibition Works by fifty-two UNI students will be shown in the Gallery of Art; a total of 206 works by 66 artists were submitted for the show; all art majors and students currently in an art class were able to submit works.
3 Program on 'AIDS' scheduled at UNI to give straight facts The program will address myths and facts about the disease and its relationship to blood donation; a campus blood drive sponsored by Sigma Alpha Epsilon will be March 11.
4 UNI housing staff, students help others learn to recognize forms of abuse The program's main focus is to help students recognize abuse and make smart choices and know how to get help; so far student reactions to the program have been positive.
5 UNI P.E. club, Waterloo schools to host mall fitness trail (Saturday), jumprope contest to promote national physical education and sports week The fitness trail and jumprope contest will be held at Waterloo's Crossroads Mall; there will also be various fitness stations set up in the mall to test the public's strength, stamina and flexibility.
