1 Professionals and consumers have joint interest in childbirth conference at UNI The conference theme will be "Working for the Ideal: Natural Birth, Healthy Baby;" there will be several lectures given and a few film viewings; childcare is available.
2 Residence hall gong show set for April 3 Individual hall senates combined their efforts to plan the unusual event for Residence Hall Association Week; a surprise emcee will be present and there will be three judges and cash prizes to the first, second and third place winners.
3 Three UNI students receive Tomahawk scholarships Tomahawk is an honor society that encourages and promotes leadership among students; they also sell used textbooks at the beginning of each UNI semester; each winner received a $200 discount on their university bill.
4 UNI Shull Hall arm wrestling tournament to be April 4 The third annual tournament is sponsored by Semper Fi Society; there are four competition classes for men and two for women; the judge will be Van Smith 1984 Mr. Iowa and 1986 Mr. Central States; trophies will be awarded by Winter.
