1 Annual UNI Art Scholarship Day April 11 to feature printmaker Forty-five Iowa high school art students will compete for four full-ride tuition scholarships to UNI ; there will also be a presentation by printmaker Lloyd Mennard; the works of present scholarship winners will be on display.
2 Branstad to run last leg of fifth UNI 'Governor's Run For Heart' to Des Moines Branstad will join twenty-five UNI runners in the last mile of the one hundred and ten mile trek from Cedar Falls to the State Capitol; the UNI runners will present Bradstad with a check of money they raised for the American Heart Association.
3 Halley's comet focus for this year's UNI earth science field trip Most of the past trips have focused on geologic studies, but this trip was more astrological; twelve students traveled with Hoff and Kelsey to Big Bend National Park in Texas; students made T-shirts for the trip and named the trip "UNI comet chase '86".
4 UNI prof to participate in Iowa White House conference on small business April 11 Diamond will be a resource person for a forum on the future of a federal agency for small businesses; recommendations from the Iowa conference will be presented at the national conference; Diamond has previously helped the Small Business Association.
