5 UNI European tour preview concert is May 3; Mayor proclaims 'UNI Folk Dance Day' The dances will range from New England ballroom dancing to Appalachian mountain dance and clogging; the UNI folk dancers will be America's only representation at five international folk dance festivals this summer.
6 UNI to offer workshop on writing successful proposals and grants The week-long workshop will be offered for one hour of undergraduate credit, 1.5 CEUs or no credit and will be held the week of May 19; Maypole is the class instructor.
7 UNI's Mary Bozik receives 'outstanding young teacher' award The award was given by the Central States Speech Association which represents 13 states throughout the Midwest region; Bozik was nominated by Hall.
