1	Iowa foreign language teachers strengthen skills at special Price Lab workshop at UNI	A workshop for foreign language instructors is held in Price Laboratory School. The workshop developed speaking and listening abilities, as well as teaching strategies. Among the speakers were three UNI professors. Includes a list of participants.
2	UNI purchasing head to serve on National Editorial Board for Educational Buyers	Covers the appointment of Roxanne Conrad to the Editorial Board of the National Association of Educational Buyers. As part of the board, Conrad was responsible for reviewing articles, and distributing awards for the best articles of the NAEB.
3	UNI to offer church organists training program: interviews begin Aug. 23	The "Church Organists Training Program" was a series of non-credit lessons on organ techniques and accompaniment skills. It was sponsored by the School of Music, and instructed by Professor Kratzenstein as well as two church organists from Mason City.
4	UNI's Catherine Hatcher receives International Reading Association award	Award of Merit is presented to Professor Catherine Hatcher at the International Reading Association Convention in Philadelphia. The award was given to Hatcher in appreciation of her dedication to the field of reading education.
