2 Astronomy teaching conference to feature lecture by Ohio State professor Nov. 3 Professor George Collins delivered a lecture in Lantz Auditorium in McCollum Science Hall, where he spoke on recent findings in the field of astronomy. 3 Grant helps pave road to child welfare training for UNI social work majors A grant from the Department of Health and Human Services allowed ten university social work majors to participate in child welfare training. 4 Meet UNI's foreign students at International Food Fair Nov. 16 (Sunday) The annual International Food Fair is meant to bring foreign students closer to the Cedar Falls community. The 1986 event was held in the Commons Ballroom, and featured food and music from varying cultures from across the world.
5 Over 1,600 students stay dry during successful UNI 'Operation 6-P.A.C.C.' program The 'Personal Alcohol Consumption Consciousness' program,directed by Shelby Ingram, asked residence hall students to abstain from alcohol throughout October. The program was meant to help students realize the importance that they place on alcohol.
