1	Little lights... of knowledge and hope	Brigitte Broom and Carl Boyd led a candlelight march in from Maucker Union to the Ethnic Minorities Cultural and Educational Center, in memory of Martin Luther King, Jr. Marchers sang "This Little Light" before holding their reception at the Center.
2	UNI names 1,202 students to 1986 fall semester Dean's List	The Office of Academic Affairs and Professor James Martin announce the students to be placed on the Dean's List. Eleven percent of the student body was recognized for maintaining a 3.5 gpa with twelve hours of graded work. Includes a list of students.
