1 'Art Advocacy' is focus of AEI Spring Conference for art educators, March 6-8 at UNI The Art Educators Conference was held in the Art Buildng and Education Center. The conference featured forty-five hands-on workshops instructing art appreciation, developing thinking skills, and creative problem solving.
2 'Sound of Music' annual spring musical at NUHS March 6-8 Professor Les Hale and Michael Peitz direct the university production of 'The Sound of Music'. The performance featured actors of a wide range of ages, some of which were still attending junior high. Includes list of cast members.
3 Broadway musical comedy hit 'One Mo' Time' comes to UNI stage Thursday (Feb. 26) The EMCEC, Cedar Arts Forum ,and Agency 7 sponsor a showing of "One Mo' Time", a Broadway tribute to black entertainment in New Orleans in the 1920s. The show was performed in the Auditorium Building as a part of the Black History Month celebrations.
4 Suicide/Life Awareness Week Feb. 23-27 at UNI The InterFraternity and Panhellenic Councils sponsor a series of events in Maucker Union for Suicide/Life Awareness Week. Events include a presentation by Dr. Norm Story, and a showing of "Animal House." The event was coordinated by Russel Phelps.
5 UNI Black History Month finale - "One Mo' Time" Black History Month celebrations come to a close with the off-Broadway production, "One Mo' Time" in the Auditorium Buliding. The performance is a tribute to black Vaudeville entertainment of the 1920s. Tickets were distributed by the Cedar Arts Forum.
