1 Awareness of plight of the Navajo and Hopi Indian tribes purpose of UNI program Monday (April 13) Tom Bedonie, spokesperson for the Hopi tribe, appeared in Maucker Union to spread awareness of the relocation of the Navajo and Hopi peoples. The speech was sponsored by the Ethnic Minorities Cultural and Educational Center.
2 Leader from Anarctic ozone hole exploration to be at UNI Wednesday (April 15) Professor David Hoffman, who lead a three-month expedition to study the Antarctic ozone hole, presented two programs on the topic in the Physics Building and the Sigma Xi banquet.
3 Nebraska crop specialist to discuss future of rural environment, Tuesday (April 14) at UNI Professor Charles A. Francis held a seminar on agriculture in the McCollum Science Hall. The presentation was sponsored by the College of Natural Sciences.
4 Seven UNI students inducted into physics honorary society Sigma Pi Sigma initiates seven new members from the student community. Professor Frank Vilmain presided over the ceremony, assisted by the honor society's officers. Includes a list of new members.
