2 Northern Iowa individual events team starts spring semester in winning style The five-member individual events team earns second place in the St. Olaf Tournament. The team was accompanied by Penny Geurink, and Professors Mary Ann Renz and Rich West.
3 Northern Iowa to offer an industrial technology course in Ankeny Professor Jack Reed instructs a course on organizing instructional content for vocational trade programs at The Des Moines Area Community College. Interested persons must register through the Office of Continuing Education and Special Programs.
4 Regents appoint assistant vice president, Union director for Northern Iowa The Board of Regents approves the appointment of Marlene Strathe and Renee Romano as dean of the College of Education, and director of the Memorial Union respectively. Larry Routh resigns as director of counseling.
5 Regents approve Northern Iowa public radio translator for Mason City area, fee schedules, receive SBAC plan, other business The Board of Regents approves licensing for KHKE-FM's translator to be placed near Mason City. Funding for the translator is provided by the Small Business Assistance Center. The Board also approves tuition and fee schedules.
6 Regents approve professional development leaves for 23 Northern Iowa faculty The Board of Regents approves Professional Development Leaves for 1988-89. Five leaves are planned for fall semester, seven for spring, and eleven for the academic year.
7 University of Northern Iowa courses to be held at Clear Lake Professors Ralph Scott and Charles May instruct courses on personality development and early childhood curriculum at Clear Lake. Those interested must enroll through the Office of Continuing Education and Special Programs.
8 University of Northern Iowa courses to be held at Iowa Valley Community College Professors Robert Decker, Leander Brown, and Lee Courtnage instruct courses on educational administration, human relations, and special education at the Iowa Valley Community College.
9 University of Northern Iowa courses to be held at Manchester Courses on instructional psychology, literature instruction, and teaching talented handicapped students are held at the West Delaware Middle School. Professors Tom Reifschneider, Linda Gleissner, Judy Beckman instruct.
10 University of Northern Iowa to offer two courses at Iowa Western Community College Courses on developmental reading and vocational-technical education are instructed by Judy Moser and Arnold Freitag at the Iowa Western Community College.
