1	Nebraska state poet to headline 'Student as Critic Conference' at University of Northern Iowa Friday (April 8)	Nebraskan poet, William Kloefkorn, acts as keynote speaker for the eighth Iowa Student as Critic Conference. Kloefkorn will speak for the Reninger Memorial Lecture Series in the Commons Ballroom, and in the Education Center with Professor George Day.
2	Northern Iowa chapter of PRSSA sponsoring Iowa conference for public relations majors	The Public Relations Student Society of America hosts a conference for members of college public relations programs across the state. Public relations professionals from throughout Iowa appear to speak about their field.
3	Public sessions part of Northern Iowa conference on critical thinking and writing	Professors Robert Ward, Daniel Cahill, and George Day hold presentations for the Student as Critic Conference, sponsored by the Department of English Language and Literature. Other speakers include Allan Carpenter, and William Kloefkorn.
4	UNI student teachers serving in Iowa communities	Two hundred seniors are given their student teaching assignments by their resident student teaching coordinators. Students must hold a 2.4 grade point average in their major field of study, and must be approved by the teacher education program.
5	University of Northern Iowa School of Business to host Jepson Symposium April 5-6	Professor James Millar acts as keynote speaker for the Lawrence Jepson Symposium on U. S./Soviet relations. The symposium is held in the Education Center, sponsored by the Department of Economics.
