1 Gospel music to 'come alive' during April 28-30 workshop at Northern Iowa Jerry Thomas will be guest and facilitator for the workshop and will conduct the mass choir in a Grand Finale Concert.
2 Internationally recognized artist to speak at the University of Northern Iowa. Robert Irwin, recognized as a pioneer artist in the study of perception and is also noted for his wide-ranging examination of contemporary art, will speak.
3 Six Iowa high school seniors receive art scholarships to attend Northern Iowa. Gabriella Gallentine, Kris Waterman, John Ellinger, Paul Taylor, William Kloser, and Brain Reeves were awarded four-year, full tuition scholarships as winners in the Iowa High School Art Scholarship Competition Day.
4 The Big Spring project is the topic of a speech at Northern Iowa on April 27. Roger Koster will be reporting on nutrients, pesticides, soil, and water conservation practices used in the Big Spring basin to improve water quality.
