The University of Northern Iowa receives $463,000 grant to begin metal casting center. Grant was given by the Iowa Department of Economic Development for the establishment of a Center for Applied Research in Metal Casting. The center will serve as resource to assist in retaining and expanding existing foundries and related Iowa industries.
Services Saturday (Feb. 18) for Leland L. Sage, emeritus history professor at University of Northern Iowa. Sage taught European and Iowa history throughout his 54-years on the Cedar Falls campus. He wrote many books on Iowa and its people.
