1 Landscape photography by W.S. Sutton to be on exhibition in University of Northern Iowa Gallery of Art March 1-31. Photographs of the landscape will reflect Sutton's attempt to "understand man's relationship with the land." Sutton received a National Endowment for the Arts Photographers Fellowship in 1981 and has exhibited his works internationally.
2 Muscatine team takes sweepstakes at East Iowa National forensic League Tournmament held Feb. 18-19 on University of Northern Iowa campus. Mason City High School won the Cumulative Sweepstakes Award for the highest point totalthroughout the history of the District. The first time the school has won the award since the District began.
3 Reception Monday (Feb. 27) in Cedar Rapids for students admitted to University of Northern Iowa. Reception and program offering information about orientation, financial aid and student life at the University of Northern Iowa.
4 Reception Monday (Feb. 27) in Mason City for students admitted to University of Northern Iowa. A reception and program offering information about orientation, financial aid and student life at the University of Northern Iowa will be held North Iowa Area Community College campus.
5 Senior Week activities planned for week of Mar. 5-10 at Northern Iowa. Students purchasing a $3 senior discount card will gain free admittance to many Senior Week activities and receive over 25 special discounts from area merchants through May 13. Activities begin Sunday with a wine and cheese reception hosted by Curris.
6 University of Northern Iowa Biology Seminar Series to present three programs. Seminar is designed acquaint people with bonsai gardening by allowing them to use tools and techniques. Classes also deal with pruning, potting, landscaping and fertilization of bonsai.
