1 Concerted outreach efforts at University of Northern Iowa bring successes. A new program has been making inroads into providing diverse employee background, with increased efforts to increase its pool of qualified minority applicants for open positions.
2 Minority outreach efforts bring successes for Northern Iowa. The Personnel Office held a "thank you" luncheon recently, not only to thank for work done but to "brainstorm" on retention of the new employees who have joined the University's operations.
3 Northern Iowa sorority chapter sponsoring 'Smoke-Out' Wednesday (March 15). Alpha Xi Delta's philanthropy project is in support of the American Lung Association. Their goal is to eliminate smoking for the day across all of campus.
4 Visiting artist at University of Northern Iowa to present two art lectures March 15. Richard Martin, professor of art history and executive director of the Shirley Goodman Resource Center at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York will speak on "Art of the 1980's ," a discussion of the most current art trends.
