1 College experiences for older Americans -- Elderhostel. Aurelia Klink, says Elderhostel have become so popular because of the combination of subject matter and activities that are held in a vacation like setting.
2 Do good business manners mean good business? P.R. pro says definitely. Pam Edwards says good manners have a definite effect on whether or not a store or company will receive our return business. Customers are demanding quality service, and to compete , businesses are using the personal touch to edge out the completion.
3 Fourth of July fireworks -- fun but extremely dangerous. Ivan Eland says the best way to celebrate the holiday with fireworks is to go watch a public display, and avoid firecrackers, smoke bombs, and other illegal fireworks.
4 Getting the parts back in action -- body recall. Harriet Jessen, recently presented on the low impact workout techniques to Elderhostel participants on the Northern Iowa campus. Many of the exercises are done in a chair, and designed for people who haven't been active because of aging or disabilities.
5 The signing of the declaration of independence -- July 4, 1776. Don Whitnah, fills is in on lore associated with the Declaration and its signers. He says the completed document wasn't signed by all members of Congress until August 2, 1776.
