3 Prison overcrowding -- what do states do when there's no room in the pen? Clemens Bartollas says Iowa's prisons shouldn't be overcrowded and blames the problem on mismanagement, and mandatory sentencing. While new prisons are looked at as answer, they are an expensive option.
4 Professional disc golf. Professional Disc Golf Association's World Disc Golf Championships will be held in Waterloo and Cedar Falls. Members of the Black Hawk Metro Disc Gold League are asking a reporter to be sent to cover the event.
5 RAGBRAI rolls in Cedar Falls -- look for an overnight sensation. "Square Wave-Aare Perennius" is almost ready, the bands have been scheduled, food is on it's way, and a great time is guaranteed for all the cyclists who make it to Cedar Falls.
6 Steroids -- the dangerous athletic wonder drug. Forrest Dolgener says many athletes who have used steroids have developed liver and kidney problems. While they are still illegal, they're still available on the black market, and are extremely attractive and widely used among young weightlifters.
