3 Ice age caribou bones donated to University of Northern Iowa Museum. Ron Wilson holds the bone of an Ice Age caribou. A few bones of the caribou and some belonging to Ice Age musk ox, were found recently in a Waterloo sandpit and donated to the UNI Museum. Those bones are believed to be at least 10,000 years old.
4 University of Northern Iowa Marshall center school to have new open hours. The Marshall Center School will now be open to the public Sundays starting Oct. 8, from 2 to 4 p.m.
5 University of Northern Iowa professor to hold puppet workshop. Loretta Kuse will share examples of different puppets as well as discuss a variety of ways to use puppets to teach knowledge, skills, and attitudes in many areas of the curriculum.
