1 "Second Annual World Get-Together" set for Sunday (April 1) at University of Northern Iowa, sponsored by International Students Association The International Students Association sponsors the Second Annual World Get-Together at Maucker Union. The program will include presentations on African proverbs, and the cultures of India and the Soviet Union.
2 Moped safety courses to be held at the University of Northern Iowa Sergeant Jerry Stewart of the Cedar Falls Police Force instructs two weekend moped certification courses in the Education Center. Students must complete a state operator's written exam to receive certification.
3 Reception (Tuesday) April 3 in Fort Dodge for students admitted to University of Northern Iowa Newly admitted students are invited to a reception and orientation program at Iowa Central Community College. The program offers information on financial aid and student life, as well as presentations by Connie Cunningham and Cindy Samuelson.
4 Reception (Wednesday) April 4 in Mason city for students admitted to University of Northern Iowa New students are invited to a reception and orientation program held at the North Iowa Area Community College. In addition to being introduced to financial aid opportunities, participants will meet with faculty and guidance counselors.
5 Science education update to be held at the University of Northern Iowa Elementary and middle school science teachers are invited to a science education update workshop held in McCollum Science Hall. The workshop will include classroom activities, and information on computer software.
6 Two intermediate VersaCAD workshops to be held at the University of Northern Iowa: Registration deadline April 6 Professor Ronald Bro instructs workshops on VersaCAD software on IBM and MAC II compatible computers. Sessions are held in the Industrial Technology Center.
7 University of Northern Iowa expands partnership with Waterloo elementary school Black Hawk Elementary School is paired with UNI through the Partners in Education program. Elementary students are introduced to campus facilities and personnel, and faculty participate in workshops and in-services through the college of Education.
