1 'Teaching Geography Workshop' to be held April 16 at University of Northern Iowa President Constantine Curris, and Professors Ron Johnston, and Basheer Nijim speak at the teaching geography workshop for k-12 teachers in the UNI Commons Ballroom.
2 Annual High School Art Scholarship Competition Day at University of Northern Iowa April 6 Four four-year full tuition scholarships are presented at the Art Scholarship Competition Day by the Department of Art at the Kamerick Art Building. Visiting artist for the event is Roy Behrens from the Art Academy of Cincinnati.
3 Education is incorporated into University of Northern Iowa European Tour Professor Lee Nicholas acts as administrator for the International Business Study Tour. The tour allows students to visit major foreign and U. S. corporations and government agencies. The tour is sponsored by the College of Business Adminsitration.
4 Scholarships made available for graduate students The C. W. Lantz Summer Awards are offered to students of natural science who have been admitted to graduate study with degree status. The scholarships are provided by Professor C. W. Lantz, former head of the Department of Science.
5 Two plays by Minority Theatre Workshop at ISU coming to University of Northern Iowa. Sponsored by Ethnic Minorities cultural and Educational Center Two Minority Theatre Workshop plays will be performed at the Waterloo Recreation and Arts Center and the UNI Auditorium. The plays include "Steal Away" and "The Mighty Gents", and are sponsored by the Ethnic Minorities Cultural and Educational Center.
6 UNI Educational Honor Society recognizes scholarship recipients and new members Kappa Delta Pi inducts sixty-seven new members and gives four Education Scholarships. Scholarship recipients include Heidi Fatchett, Amy Johnson, Crystal Schelling, and Julie Portman. New Kappa Delta Pi members listed.
