1 Director of technology transfer for University of Northern Iowa's research consortium announced; plans series of forums. Claude Henschel has done research and development leading to several patents and publications in the areas of metals joining and metals casting. The Research Consortium was created by the state legislature and the Iowa Board of Regents in 1988.
2 UNI research librarian interns ar Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N. Y. Tim Wiles, newly-appointed research librarian at the Donald O. Rod Library, spent 11 weeks as an intern at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N. Y.
3 University of Northern Iowa dames elect officers. Dames is an organization of spouses of UNI faculty and staff, recently elected new officers for the 1990-91 program year. Eighteen past presidents of the group also were honored at the meeting.

5 University of Northern Iowa drama curriculum migrates to Great Britain. Gretta Berghammer conducted a pilot program last fall using dramatic play to teach about nutrition. A control group received normal classroom instruction. Children in the dramatic play group not only learned more, but developed better critical thinking.
6 University of Northern Iowa librarian turns passion for details and baseball into internship at baseball hall of fame. Tim Wiles is a research librarian ar the Donald O. Rod Library. Last winter he made his dream a reality by snagging an internship at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y.
