1	Northern Iowa names 1,583 students to 1990 spring semester dean's list.	List of students named to the Dean's List. To be included on the list, a student must have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, while taking at least 12 hours of graded work during the semester.
2	Northern Iowa provost emeritus tours Soviet Union as member of Iowa Peace Institute delegation.	Stavropol maintains a sister state relationship with Iowa, and the Peace Institute delegation wanted to expand existing exchange programs between the agriculture states.
3	Thelma McColm tuition scholarship to University of Northern Iowa awarded to West Liberty High School graduate in memory of 1922 Alumnus.	Melissa Rife received the scholarship. The scholarship is presented to a West Liberty or Louisa-Muscatine graduate planning to attend UNI, who shows strong academic promise and "who represents the standards and ideals of honesty, compassion and industry."
4	University of Northern Iowa awards Hearst scholarship to junior art major.	Timothy Kuhlman was awarded. Recipients of the scholarship must be juniors or first semester seniors at the time of the award. They must major in programs in the School of Music, Department of English Language and Literature, or the Department of Art.
